Bring on Spring!

We thought we would try to spread a little cheer as it's still January and the rain doesn't seem to have stopped. And what better excuse than to use our brand new sunflower/gerbera cutters.

We also now use Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract in our vanilla cupcakes, so they taste EVEN more delicious which we didn't think was possible!

We love our handmade flowers as they remind us that Spring isn't too far away and look ever so pretty. At Molly's Little Bakery we offer Blossom, Rose, Daisy and now Gerbera & Sunflowers toppers.

They are £1.60 each, so if you would like to add some spring into your step early, contact us!

Valentines Day Cupcake Competition

As we're feeling generous we thought we would give away a gift box of x 6 cupcakes in our fabulous Valentines Day design - aren't we lovely!

To be in with a chance we want to see how poetic you lot are! Write a short & to the point poem about your loved one and the best one will win. It can be rude, funny, sweet or sad, whatever pops into your mind!

All you need to do is submit your entry on our Facebook page, entries made any other way will not be counted.

The winner will be announced on Monday 31st January 2011. Please note that the winning cupcakes will need to be collected from our premises, delivery is not available.

Our very first Cupcake Class!

Due to the snow putting paid to our scheduled class last year, we thought we would give it another shot!

Valentine's Day Special
Saturday 5th February 2011
10am - 12pm

Would you like to learn how to pipe the perfect swirl, decorate cupcakes with iced roses or simply have access to lots of baking knowledge & our store cupboard, which is jam packed with a huge selection of sprinkles? If the answer is yes then the new Molly's Little Bakery Decorating Classes are perfect for you.

Our perfectly formed class, run from 10am - 12 noon and will include me demonstrating several different piping techniques including the much sought after classic swirl & the pretty rose swirl icing.
As well as perfecting your icing skills you will also be shown how to make edible sugarpaste decorations, how to colour the sugarpaste to get the perfect colour for your theme, how to use sugarpaste cutters and also how to make beautiful handmade roses.

Following on from the demonstrations you will receive 6 home baked cupcakes to top and decorate to your own taste. You will be able to use our cutters, colourings, tools, sprinkles and more and of course, we will be on hand to offer advice and guidance should you need it. I will of course do my best to answer any questions that you might have on the day.

All of the cupcakes and icing will be made prior to your arrival so all that is left to do is for you to enjoy decorating your beautiful cupcakes.

All that you need to bring with you is an apron and your creative flair! Everything else will be provided for you along with hot & cold beverages.

The total cost of the class is £30. This is an introductory price and places are limited. Here at Molly's Little Bakery we prefer to keep the classes small, so that you more hands on teaching, so there will be 5 people per class maximum (not including myself).

This class would make the perfect early Valentine's Day gift or perhaps a birthday present, if not it's a lovely way to spend a couple of hours learning a new skill!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A big hello from us all at Molly's Little Bakery and a very Happy 2011 to everyone!

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas, didn't it whizz by! We've been busy in the kitchen bringing you more yummy cupcakes and we are already working on designs for upcoming events in the calendar.

One of those being Valentine's Day, where a gift box of MLB cupcakes given to your loved one will really hit the spot! New to us in 2011 are cupcake classes and the first one we are holding will be on Saturday 5th February 2011. Space is limited, we want to keep classes to 5 people maximum, so please hurry in booking your place.

This cupcake decorating class makes a wonderful early Valentine's Day present or gives you time to practice making our own before the big day. Either way it's a great way to spend a couple of hours doing something you love!
