Children In Need Cake Sale

This week we made cupcakes for a very worthwhile cause, Children In Need, as part of a bake sale that was taking place in London.
Above are some photos of the finished cupcakes and we were told they sold out in just over an hour, with all the proceeds going to CIN. A big thank you to all those who bought one, as a Mother it's a charity that's very close to my heart.

Birthday's & Bonfire's!

It's been Birthday madness this week, what with the surprise cupcakes for Jemma on Friday (who absolutely loved them, as did all of her colleagues who scrambled once they were unveiled!).

First up we had birthday cupcakes for Donna's granddad, who was delighted with them

Then we had an order for Lauren's sister, Chloe, who was turning 21. Lauren asked for a mix of chocolate & strawberry flavour sponge with chocolate, pink & cream icing. Toppers were a mix of wording, numbers, bows (Chloe's favourite!) and our popular Rose style icing. We hope you had a lovely birthday Chloe, enjoy being a fabulous age!

Lastly we had an order to celebrate Bonfire Night, so we went for bright colours & created our own 'firework' with icing, silver balls & stars!

We hope you all had a great weekend, more orders this week for different ocassions so check out the Blog for photos!

It's gone pastel mad this week with several lovely gift boxes being ordered for different occasions. First up was Kiri who ordered some of our cupcakes for her friends baby shower.
Then came Sally, who's birthday was this week and being the kind person she is, she wanted to bring some of our yummy cupcakes into work with her!
We hope the cupcakes were enjoyed by all ladies!

Perk Of The Job!

Another busy one for Molly's Little Bakery this week, we've had the pleasure of dealing with some lovely people. A real perk of the job!

First up was Emma, who herself had received a gift box of our cupcakes from a friend and wanted to do the same for the newlyweds Mr & Mrs Kimble. They have just returned from honeymoon and what better way to celebrate their new life as Man & Wife than with our scrumptious cupcakes! Emma requested our Rose style icing and some topped with hearts & sprinkles.

Next was Kate who wanted to order some cupcakes for her cousin Jane. She had seen Kate's 30th birthday cupcakes from us and loved the Rose design icing we offer, so we included some of those in gorgeous green's & pink's. A really popular colour combination! Jane had been having a tough day with her husband out, kids screaming and when the doorbell went, she thought 'what now'! Once she saw that Kate, Billy, Sally & Cheryle had surprised her with some cupcakes of her own she nearly cried!
Lastly there was Rebecca who wanted to impress some clients and thought there was no better way to do it than with a box of our cupcakes. She loved the green & pink's together so went for that topped with matching butterflies and pearlescent balls. The client was thrilled with them!
Thanks to all those who ordered from Molly's Little Bakery this week.

The Big 30!

The lovely Kelly, wanted us to provide cupcakes for her friend Hannah's 30th birthday.
Hannah was throwing a bbq at the weekend to celebrate this important birthday and Kelly couldn't think of anything better to bring along.
She asked for a mix of chocolate & vanilla and wanted pink and chocolate icing with coordinating toppers. We were really happy with how they turned out and we had the birthday girl was too.
Happy 30th Birthday Hannah, hope it was a good one!

Daddy's Girl

The lovely Rachel ordered a gift box of cupcakes from Molly's Little Bakery to help wish her dad a very happy birthday.
Rachel asked for vanilla sponge topped with blue icing, wording in black and dusted with red sprinkles to match the cases. We couldn't resist adding a heart to let the birthday boy know how much his daughter loves him.
We hear they were much enjoyed by everyone. Happy Birthday Rachel's dad!

Hello Cupcake

Katie contacted us last week as she was after some cupcakes for her friend Laura's birthday. Once she'd decided on the amount and flavour we got to the interesting part, how to decorate them!
She asked if we could put a cupcake on a cupcake. I first I thought she meant she wanted us to stack them on top of each other. Then quickly realised I was being stupid. What Katie was after was a picture of a cupcake on a cupcake. Oooh we were excited, we love getting the chance to ice pictures and we are really quite chuffed with the results.
If you would like a picture iced onto your cupcakes, then please just ask - I'm sure we can do it!
Happy Birthday Laura, hope you have a great day.

Girls Weekend Away

Michelle & her friends were spending a weekend in the Norfolk Broads to celebrate a birthday. But they weren't doing the usual hotel & bar crawl thing. They were spending their time on a barge boat!

Not sure the combination of alcohol & boat driving is a good one but sounds like it will be tons of fun! And why not throw some of our lovely cupcakes into the mix for good measure. Michelle asked for bright pink icing and black toppers & cases. We think it's a striking combination and perfect for a girly weekend away.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend ladies & let's hope the boat is still in tact!

The sun has got his hat on!

This week saw the return of that round yellow thing in the sky that is called a Sun! Yes we'd almost forgotten that it existed in the UK but boy did we celebrate it making an appearance!
It must have affected you lot as our inbox has been full and our phones off the hook with orders and enquiries.
One of the many we had was for Maeve's 1st birthday, last sunday. Her mum wanted pink & girlie so what better way than to top her yummy vanilla cupcakes with hearts, flowers and the number 1! We hope you had a fantastic day Maeve.
Today we had the pleasure of delivering some cupcakes to Nicolet's mum for her birthday. Nicolet's mum is American so she asked for some peanut butter cupcakes which we topped with our delicious chocolate buttercream. The rest were Lemon cupcakes topped with a zingy lemon buttercream icing. Using fresh lemons of course. Nicolet requested that the cupcakes were in pastel shades and very pretty. So we thought we would use some of our handmade flowers and butterflies. Perfect for when the sun is out.
If it's your birthday this week then we hope you have a smashing day!

Orders galore!

We've had our busiest week yet with orders for Mother's Day, 18th & 40th birthday's and even another wedding!

This weekend has been a hectic one for baking too! I had to bake 140 cupcakes for various orders, I'll post photos over the next few days of all of them.

First up were cupcakes for Tanya from her friend Natalie. Natalie was unable to make a girls night in so thought she'd send them all some of our cupcakes! Was a last minute order but it was no problem for Molly's Little Bakery.

We heard the cucakes went down a storm, just pleased we could help!

Cupcakes aren't just for girls!

We've had a busy one this week, lots of enquiries and orders placed, which is very exciting! On Wednesday it was Catriona's birthday and her good friend Lisa ordered some vanilla cupcakes from us to help celebrate. Lisa wanted them pink & girly so what better way than to top them with handmade roses & shoes! The birthday girl gave us some fabulous feedback so we assume they went down well!
Meanwhile Louise ordered her boyfriend some chocolate cupcakes. Matt is an Arsenal fan so she asked for half with our rice paper toppers & the others sprinkled liberally with hearts. We even matched the ribbon to the Gunners footie strip.
We wish both Catriona & Matt a very happy birthday.
So don't think of cupcakes as just being for girls, we can make them masculine aswell!
