Cupcakes for Charlotte

These pretty cupcakes were created for Charlotte's 8th birthday on Saturday, her lovely mum Victoria wanted something similar to another order we had done for Ronni's 1st Birthday and we were only happy to help.

We are particularly fond of the new bow toppers, the newest addition to our cutter collection!

Summer, summer, summertime!

Unfortunately England are out of the World Cup but the good news is that the sun has been around for a few days and it is forecast to stay that way for the rest of the week - woohoo!

So, what better way to celebrate than with a box of our '99 inspired cupcakes! Vanilla sponge, buttercream icing and topped with a Flake - that's summer in a box right there.

These particular ones were for Adam & Sam, who were throwing a bbq for friends & family on Sunday. And whilst they didn't bring England luck, they certainly were a great way to console one's self after such a defeat.

What a lovely friend!

I had a very last minute request from a lovely lady called Simone this week. She was after some cupcakes for her friend Tracy who needed cheering up. And what better way to do it than with a gift box from Molly's Little Bakery.

We hand delivered 6 chocolate sponge Roses to Tracy, who by the way is a florist - see what we did there - and she was so overwhelmed she cried!

Simone loved our cakes so much, she ordered a further 3 boxes from us for her in laws. We think Simone's family and friends are lucky to have such a caring person in their lives.

Great to hear the cupcakes were enjoyed by all.

Chocolate Madness!

It's official, Kelly is a Chocoholic! I thought I loved the stuff but she really is a fan, in particular of our cupcakes. This is the 3rd lot gift box she's ordered, all chocolate of course.

These beauties are chocolate sponge, chocolate buttercream icing & chocolate shavings.

They weren't a gift for a friend or loved one, they were just for Kelly because she loves them so much! She said she may let her boyfriend have one, but only one ha ha!

See, you really don't an excuse for our cupcakes!

Hello Cupcake

Katie contacted us last week as she was after some cupcakes for her friend Laura's birthday. Once she'd decided on the amount and flavour we got to the interesting part, how to decorate them!

She asked if we could put a cupcake on a cupcake. I first I thought she meant she wanted us to stack them on top of each other. Then quickly realised I was being stupid. What Katie was after was a picture of a cupcake on a cupcake. Oooh we were excited, we love getting the chance to ice pictures and we are really quite chuffed with the results.

If you would like a picture iced onto your cupcakes, then please just ask - I'm sure we can do it!

Kate is 30!

Although she doesn't look a day over 21, Kate turned 30 last week and what better way to celebrate than with a gift box or 2 of our cupcakes!

Kate's sister Sally, got in touch with us in March so that she wouldn't forget to place an order. We do love someone who's organised! Sally & her mum Cheryl, were after 2 boxes of vanilla cupcakes and the spec was girly, with our signature flower icing & some wording. So we set to work and were really rather pleased with the end results.

We had to hold back from helping ourselves to them!

Kate was presented with the cupcakes at a restaurant with family & friends and they were a success (that didn't hang around for long!).

Wish my Boss would buy me Cupcakes

We had a phone call from the owner of Raw Hair Salon in Swanley, who wanted to surprise his staff with a box of our cupcakes. What a lovely boss!

He asked for the first initial of each member of staff to be iced onto a cupcake, just in case you thought I was really, really bad at spelling!

We assume by the oohing and ahhing over them that they were a hit! We hope you enjoyed them ladies.

Ice, Ice Baby

At Molly's Little Bakery we are always trying to think of things that would make our cupcakes even more delicious than they already are. If that is possible?!

We are aware that buttercream is not everybody's idea of heaven (why not?!) so we now offer Glace icing to top our yummy cupcakes. Of course it's homemade along with our Royal icing, which is used for wording & decoration. There is a photo above to illustrate beautifully the point we are trying to make.

We also wanted to expand on the flavours of our icing*, so now you can have the following on top of any cupcake you want:

White chocolate
Peanut Butter
Baileys
Chocolate Orange
Chocolate Mint

So with these, our choice of flavours, wide range of sprinkles/toppers and amazing prices - why go anywhere else!

A New Year gives you another 12 months of reasons to purchase some of our delicious cupcakes. We've even added another flavour for you, Strawberry Swirls will now sit alongside the classics of Chocolate, Lemon & Vanilla and it can be dusted with icing sugar instead of buttercream if you so wish!

It's 2010!

Happy New Year to you all!

We hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year, it has flown by as always but Molly's Little Bakery had a lovely break and got to spend quality time with family and friends, which is what it's all about.

Now it's back to the kitchen though and the cupcake orders are flying in!

We all know January can be a bit of a depressing month, so why not place an order before the end of January and you will receive 10% off your next order with us*

Here at Molly's Little Bakery we are always thinking of new ways to make cupcakes even more appealing to you.

One thing we've noticed is that most of our competitors offer a minimum order of 6 cupcakes, which isn't any good when you want just 1 cupcake. Perhaps you would like to wish someone luck, a Merry Christmas or just let them know you care.

Available from 1st November 2009 - 3rd January 2010, your cupcake will be individually boxed, wrapped with a ribbon and a giftcard with a message of your choice. Watch out for photos coming soon. These will be available again in 2010 so keep checking our blog for updates.

Another thing we don't do at MLB is limit your choice of decoration, after all it's your cupcake so you should get the final say! We offer flat icing, swirls, coloured, plain, sprinkles or toppers. You can have big swirls or little swirls, lots of icing or not so much. The choices are endless and it's all part of the fun.

Here at Molly's Little Bakery we like to keep things exciting. So we've come up with this idea, a 'Guest' flavour, from a different country around the world, every month and YOU get to decide the winner!

All you have to do is get onto our blog and click your favourite. It really is that easy.

The winning flavour will then feature for a month alongside our other delicious flavours; Vanilla, Chocolate, Lemon & Coconut.

Help Wanted

Here at Molly's Little Bakery we are looking to add a new flavour to our range to sit alongside the classics of Vanilla, Chocolate & Lemon and we'd like your help please!

Come up with something off the wall like lavender or a classic such as carrot cake.
